Hutt Street Shop FAQ
FAQ
Are you open on public holidays?
No, not unless advertised - see our Blog and Social media sites for information nearer the date of the holiday
Do you have an electronic Hutt Street shop listing?
No. This would be a mammoth task
If you are after a particular book, but can't come to the shop, you can phone and ask a desk volunteer to see if we have it on our shelves. To do this, you will need:
- Author name
- Book title
- Subject area you think it will be shelved under (see Hutt Street shop page)
If we have the book, the volunteer will put it aside for you. You will need to collect it within 14 days. We are unable to post items out to you
Please note that it is really best if you can come in and look for yourself, as you know best what you are after
General queries about what we have by certain authors or in particular subject areas are harder for our volunteers to answer, and we discourage those types of enquiry
Do you sell CDs & DVDs?
Yes. These are arranged per music or film/series genre
Do you have an online shop?
We are developing an online shop, however the books listed there are a separate collection entirely, and are not available from the Hutt Street shop, either over the counter or by Click and Collect
Can I buy and pay by phone?
No
Do you buy books?
No, all our stock is donated, second-hand books and media
Can I donate books/media?
Yes. Please refer to our Donate page for more information
