LYONS, Enid - The old haggis
Illustrated by Allan Longoulant. A book of writings by Dame Enid Lyons, most of which originally appeared in Melbourne Sun-News Pictorial, the Brisbane Courier-Mail, and the Adelaide Advertiser.
She was the wife of Prime Minister Joseph Lyons who died in office in 1939, leaving her in much-reduced circumstances, with a family of eleven children, the youngest five years old. She in turn entered politics. These pieces were written after her own career as a politician was over.
